MonoFoil® bonds at a molecular level to surfaces, providing long lasting, durable antimicrobial protection unlike anything currently on the market.

The active ingredient in MonoFoil® forms a colorless, odorless, positively charged polymer barrier that bonds to the applied surface. MonoFoil® is not metabolized by the microbial cells, instead it creates a network of electrically charged molecules on the surface, which rupture the cell wall on contact.

What does that really mean? It like popping a water balloon – it causes instant cellular death! Through this mechanism of action, MonoFoil® does not promote allow the microbe to mutate and the risk the formation of a resistant superbug.

HOW IT WORKS?

MonoFoil® disinfectant creates an invisible electrically charged coating which bonds to the applied surface.

Other antimicrobial disinfectants are designed to pass through the cell wall and attempt to poison the microbe altering the microbe’s DNA.

This may lead to mutation and resistant superbugs. These disinfectants are temporary and work while the surface is wet.

Once surface is dry contamination occurs when the surface is touched again.

Functions as an electro stat (instead of poisoning microbes like traditional treatments)

Bonds to the target surface.

Has a molecular structure resembling billions of microscopic spikes.

Each spike contains a minute, positive electrical surge.

Negatively charged microbes are irresistibly pulled from the air, impaled on the spikes and popped like balloons on a bed of pins.

Since nothing is lost in the process, the spikes continue to function.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

IS MONOFOIL DISINFECTANT SAFE FOR USE AROUND CHILDREN AND PETS?

Yes. It leaves no residue that would be harmful to children and pets.

DO I NEED TO WEAR A MASK WHEN USING MONOFOIL DISINFECTANT SPRAY?

MonoFoil does not contain any VOCs. Howeverm, if you are in an area with heavy contamination or mold growth, a mask would be a good idea to limit your inhalation of harmful bacteria or mold spores.

CAN I USE BLEACH TO GET RID OF THE BACTERIA AND MOLD IN MY HOUSE?

Bleach is a potent chemical and may pose health risk to users and to occupants during and after use. While bleach will kill the mold, it will not prevent the mold from returning to the cleaned surface. It may look clean, but the mold will often grow back within weeks.

SHOULD I EVACUATE THE AREA WHEN USING MONOFOIL DISINFECTANT SPRAY?

No. MonoFoil contains no ammonia, acids, bleach or VOCs. Evacuation of the area during use is not required.

MY FRONT-END LOADING WASHING MACHINE SMELLS MOLDY SOMETIMES. CAN I USE MONOFOIL DISINFECTANT TO GET RID OF THE SMELL?

Yes! We have had many customers use MonoFoil to treat their washing machine with success. Make sure to let MonoFoil dry completely before you run the next load after treatment.

CAN I PAINT OVER THE MONOFOIL DISINFECTANT?

Yes. If you wish to treat and then repaint a moldy surface, first clean the area, then apply the solution. Allow to dry for 24 hours, then paint. To prevent re-growth, retreat the painted area with MonoFoil, making sure the paint is completely dry.

I USED MONOFOIL AND NOTHING SEEMED TO HAPPEN. WHAT’S GOING ON?

When MonoFoil dries on the moldy or contaminated surface, it crushes the cells. This action is not visible, but you can be assured that it’s working. While you may be used to using bleach products that  whiten the stains, this product contains no bleaches or whiteners so may require some elbow grease to remove the stains.

HOW OFTEN DO I NEED TO APPLY THE MONOFOIL DISINFECTANT SPRAY?

Our general recommendation is every 30 days. But if you have highly trafficked areas, you may need to apply every 10 days due to wear. MonoFoil can be scratched from surfaces, so highly trafficked  carpets areas and desks are a good example of areas that may need more frequent treatment.

CAN I ADD BLEACH OR OTHER DISINFECTANT CLEANERS TO MONOFOIL?

No. Any added substances will dilute MonoFoil and may adversely affect product performance. MonoFoil is ready to use.
